Mrs. Jana Amyx, Business Manager

Jana is a cum laude graduate from the University of North Texas.  She has worked within legal and corporate industries for over twenty-five years, including sales for FedEx Custom Critical.  Jana and her husband, James Amyx, have three grown children including Dr. Jim Amyx and six grandchildren.  Their home is graced by the presence of their sweet Labrador Retriever mix, "Taylor."  When she is not doting on her grandchildren, Jana is an active member of her church, United Methodist of the Woodlands, and several Benders Landing neighborhood groups.  After working many years in corporate business, Jana embraces the small business advantage of getting to know each of our clients and patients well.

 


Courtney Curry Bennett, Practice Manager

Courtney joined our team in 2009 as a receptionist, since then she has advanced to our Front Desk Manager, and now our Practice Manager. Courtney's passion is to "care for those who can't care for themselves - animals."   She resides with Ryan, her husband; Bailey, her Kelpie mix; and Ginger, her chocolate Labrador Retriever.  Courtney and Ryan are also the proud parents of their darling daughter, Eliza Jo.

 


Shannon Murray, Veterinary Assistant

Shannon joined Four Seasons Veterinary Hospital (FSVH) in 2012. Shannon has always loved animals and has been working in veterinary medicine as a Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist since 2010. Shannon has completed her CVA1 classification. She has also started attending school at Lone Star College to work towards becoming a Registered Nurse. Her passion is to help others, whether they have two legs or four.  Shannon lives in The Woodlands, TX with her significant other, Taylor; their children, Gavin & Hannah, and 2 dogs - "Charlie", and "Sammy." Shannon loves to spend time with her family, especially visiting local parks and nature preserves.


Erin Gounarides, Veterinary Assistant

Erin began working for FSVH in 2009.  She has been working as a Veterinary Assistant in Veterinary Medicine since 1999 , working two of those years at the 249 Animal Emergency Hospital in Houston.  She has experience working with both large and small animals.  Erin grew up with horses; barrel raced, bred, and trained horses. Erin lives in Magnolia, TX on a 3-acre homestead with her husband, David; her son, Kayden, her daughter, Cambri; her Great Dane, "Holly"; and her English Bulldogs, "Chesty" and "Diva." Erin loves to spend time with her family and pet sit for friends.


Deanna Ahmann, Veterinary Assistant

Deanna joined FSVH in 2016 after working many years in large animal, exotic and emergency medicine. Deanna knew early in life she was meant to work with animals and has been doing so for over 20 years. She shares her home with her Fiancée, Craig, his son, Slade and their three dogs, one of which is a foster pet. In her time away from work, Deanna loves to travel and fish with the family – four-legged members included.


Tarha Chaney, Veterinary Assistant

Tarha began working for Four Seasons Veterinary Hospital in 2017.  She has been working in veterinary medicine since 2011 when she began as a kennel technician, now a skilled veterinarian technician. Tarha shares her home with her husband, daughter, a Chihuahua Mix and a Pit Bull Mix.


Misty Presswood, Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant

Misty began working for Four Seasons Veterinary Hospital as a Receptionist/Vet Assistant in June, 2017.  Misty’s love for animals came to her naturally as a child. She was able to finally pursue her passion in 2010 working at a large and small animal hospital.   Misty enjoys the element of surprise every day in veterinary medicine.  Misty has a new addition to her family, Kronus, a pit bull puppy. In her spare time she most enjoys visiting with family and friends.


Kaitlin Luc, LVT, Veterinary Technician

Kaitlin joined Four Seasons Veterinary Hospital (FSVH) in 2013 as an intern in the Lone Star College Veterinary Technology program.  Previous to her program at Lone Star College, Kaitlin graduated from Baylor University with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.  Kaitlin finished her Veterinary Technician program and joined FSVH full-time as a LVT (Licensed Veterinary Technician).  Kaitlin has four (4) cats: "Lorelei," "Tito," "Dulce," and "Keanu" plus one dog named "Cali."

 


David Deschenes, Lead Certified Veterinary Assistant

David began working at Four Seasons Veterinary Hospital (FSVH) in June, 2014; although, he has known and worked with Dr. Jim much longer, since 2007.  Dr. Jim and David both began working for 249 Animal Emergency Hospital in 2007, the same year Dr. Jim opened FSVH.  David started working in the veterinary field in 2002 for Dr. Tippit at Bissonett Southampton Veterinary Hospital.  He cared for cats, dogs, and small exotics - pocket pets and reptiles.  In 2007, David moved to Tomball to study Animal Science at Tomball College.  He shifted his focus to Animal Emergency medicine when he began working nights and weekends for 249 Animal Emergency Center.  Seven (7) years later, David and Dr. Jim are working together again - this time during the day!  David is a CVA (Certified Veterinary Assistant) Level 3.  David currently lives in Magnolia with his wife, Erin and their children Kayden and Cambri.

 

 


Alexis Edwards, Veterinary Assistant

Alexis joined Four Seasons Veterinary Hospital (FSVH) in 2014 as a Kennel Technician.  Alexis has always loved animals and one day aspires to become a veterinarian.  She spends her free time outside with her family and friends, and has a tea-cup Pomeranian and a boxer at home.

 


Amber Carruthers, Receptionist

Amber began working for Four Seasons Veterinary Hospital in March, 2015.  Amber first discovered her passion for dogs when she got a position working at a dog kennel years ago. Being a receptionist, Amber experiences the best of both worlds, and has the opportunity to build a close relationship with both the client and their pet. Amber has a soft spot for pitbulls and adores their kind and loyal nature. Amber spends her free time with her boyfriend Allen and their adorable little Chihuahua, Billy. They enjoy taking him to the dog park or tucking him in their arms and heading to the weekend car shows around town.


Tracie Callahan, Receptionist

Tracie came to Four Seasons Veterinary Hospital in June, 2017.  As a small child, Tracie helped her father foster many animals and fell in love with each and every one of them.  She has been pursuing her passion in veterinary medicine as a receptionist since 2013.  Currently, Tracie is attending a local college with plans to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT).  Back home in Wisconsin, Tracie has three horses and three dogs.


Lauren Flores, Lead Kennel Technician

Lauren started working with animals in 2004 after gradating from Klein Oak High School. Lauren has worked at Four Seasons Veterinary Hospital off and on since 2012 as a kennel technician. She plans to attend pet grooming classes in the Fall. Lauren is mother to one son, Liam; one German Shepherd named Greta; and two black Goldfish named Johnny and June. In her spare time, Lauren loves to listen to music, craft, and watch scary shows. Lauren loves her job and friends here at Four Seasons Veterinary Hospital.
